Job Title: IT Network and Telecommunications – Journey (Vancouver)

Location: Clark County – Vancouver, Washington (Full-time on-site)

Closes: July 20th, 2026

Salary: $85,800- $115,416.00 Monthly

The Opportunity:

This position supports the mission by managing all the technical needs of DCY’s Institutions and community facility IT needs within the Department of Children Youth and Family Divisions. Utilizes knowledge of the agency’s mission and standards to deliver expert-level technical planning, consultation, and direction for critical DCYF services and technology initiatives. Collaborates with other IT Area Technical Managers and DCYF senior technicians, to ensure technical plans, decisions, and implementation of technology solutions are consistent across DCYF.

Some of what you will get to do:

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot all DCYF Local Area Networks and related network equipment.
  • Collaborate with IT security for any system breach, malware, or virus notification 
  • Ensures all security requirements are followed in field operations.
  • Implements off-site disaster recovery and business resumption requirements for Field Offices.
  • Prevents unauthorized network access by monitoring for rogue wireless networks, unauthorized equipment, and managing network account access.
  • Ensures each facility: server backups are running as designed and recovers files from backups as needed.
  • Provides support including on-site support for troubleshooting hardware and/or software setup, conflicts, network issues and difficulties for other DCYF offices statewide as needed.
  • Provides expert consultation and specialized analysis as the primary: technical consultant and advisor to senior management and provides desktop and server support for sites assigned.
  • Provides general assistance and support for all other DCYF facilities and county juvenile courts that utilize DCYF Case management applications.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve connectivity and sound issues for Video Conference sessions.
  • Assist with scheduling and connectivity to video conference sessions.
  • Responsible for the movement and inventory control of all IT Assets within their area of responsibility.
  • Enable ActiveSync for user through Active directory and Exchange account.
  • Coordinate and request telephony hardware with purchasing department.
  • Configure mobile device with MOM (mobile device management, e.g., Maas360) with users DCYF credentials.
  • Verify and configure Wi-Fi connectivity, hotspot and Wi-Fi calling features.
  • Image, install, configure, and update Bias, operating system software, applications and hardware on all client computers 
  • Analyze, diagnose, and provide resolutions for hardware and software malfunctions, errors, and failures.
  • Repair and replace malfunctioning, damaged or lost equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Six (6) years of consultative and administrative experiences in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems application or databases. 

OR

  • Two years of experience as an IT Customer Service – Journey equivalent or IT Network/Telecom Entry or above within WA State. 

 

OR

  • An Associate’s degree and four (4) years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications or databases.

 

OR

  • A Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of consultative, administrative, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications or databases.

 

*Year-for-year experience may take the place of education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office productivity software and troubleshooting desktop issues.
  • Knowledge of DCYF public disclosure, adoption and discovery policy and processes.
  • Knowledge of FamLink case management system.
  • Knowledge of ACT case management system.
  • Knowledge of WaCompass licensing system.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Comtia Net+ certification.
